XM Forex Rebate — What It Is and How Much You Get per Lot
Short answer: an XM rebate is the same thing as XM cashback: a fixed dollar amount returned to you for every lot you close, funded by the commission XM pays the partner who referred your account. With official XM partner code CBT90, the rebate is $9.00 per lot on Gold and $4.80 per lot on EURUSD on a Standard account ($3.70 and $1.80 on Ultra Low), from 0.01 lot with no cap. XM credits it to your own MyWallet the next day. This page is about the XM forex broker, not Sirius XM radio.
Is an XM rebate the same as XM cashback?
Yes. "Rebate", "cashback" and "backcom" are three names for one thing: part of the partner commission XM pays for your trading volume, returned to you per lot. Different markets prefer different words — "rebate" on English forums, "backcom" in Vietnam, "cashback" on most rebate sites — but the mechanics are identical. These and the other cashback terms are defined in our XM cashback glossary.
Two things are not an XM rebate:
- XM's own promotions, such as deposit bonuses or the XM Unlimited Cashback promotion (round 22 Sep–20 Oct 2026). XM runs these under its own terms — see XM Unlimited Cashback promo and XM bonus vs cashback.
- A discount on spreads. A rebate does not change the price you trade at. You pay XM's normal spread; the rebate is returned afterwards.
XM rebate rates per lot (code CBT90)
The rebate is a fixed amount per lot for each instrument, and it depends on the account type: Standard symbols have no suffix, Ultra Low symbols end in # (for example GOLD#). Rates for accounts opened with official XM partner code CBT90:
| Instrument | Standard ($ per lot) | Ultra Low # ($ per lot) |
|---|---|---|
| GOLD / XAUUSD | $9.00 | $3.70 |
| BTCUSD | $10.60 | $4.20 |
| EURUSD | $4.80 | $1.80 |
| USDJPY | $4.80 | $1.60 |
| AUDUSD | $4.80 | $2.70 |
| GBPUSD | $5.30 | $2.70 |
| GBPJPY | $5.30 | $3.70 |
| GBPAUD | $6.40 | $3.70 |
Every pair is listed in the full rates table. On a Micro account, forex rebates are the Standard rate scaled to the smaller lot (1/100): EURUSD on Micro returns $0.048 per lot. Ultra Low pays a lower rebate; neither account charges a trading commission. Which one costs you less overall is worked through in Standard vs Ultra Low cashback.
How the XM rebate is calculated
Rebate = closed lots × the rate for that instrument. It is counted on closed volume, not on the number of trades, and it does not matter whether a trade wins or loses. It starts at 0.01 lot (0.01 lot of Gold on Standard = $0.09) and has no monthly cap.
| Volume in a month | Standard | Ultra Low |
|---|---|---|
| 20 lots of Gold | 20 × $9.00 = $180 | 20 × $3.70 = $74 |
| 20 lots of EURUSD | 20 × $4.80 = $96 | 20 × $1.80 = $36 |
These figures only show how volume adds up — they are not a forecast. Enter your own instruments and lots in the cashback calculator.
XM rebate vs a typical IB rebate — what is different?
Every rebate comes from an Introducing Broker (IB) sharing the commission a broker pays them. What differs is how the money reaches you. Before you choose any provider, check these points:
| Question | CashBackXM (code CBT90) | What to check elsewhere |
|---|---|---|
| Who sends the money? | XM credits it inside XM | Some providers pay you from their own account |
| Where does it land? | Your own XM MyWallet | Bank transfer, e-wallet or crypto wallet |
| How often? | Next day, every trading day | Weekly or monthly batches |
| Do you need to claim it? | No — automatic | Some ask for a request form or a minimum balance |
| How is the rate shown? | Fixed $ per lot, per instrument, published | A percentage or an "up to" figure |
| Who runs it? | A team with a public website in 12 languages | Often one person reached over private chat |
| Is the rate the same for everyone? | Yes — published per instrument, never negotiated per client | May be agreed or changed per client |
| Does it change your spread? | No | Ask — it should not |
The next-day timing comes from XM itself: under XM's partner terms, XM pays partners daily for the previous day's trading. A full checklist for comparing providers is in best XM rebate — how to compare, and the money flow step by step is in XM cashback explained. What an IB rebate is, and what to check before choosing an IB, is covered in XM IB rebate explained.
Which trades do not earn an XM rebate?
A rebate exists only when XM pays a partner commission on the trade. Under XM's partner terms, these trades earn no commission, so they earn no rebate:
- Trades that last 3 minutes or less.
- Positions closed with "close by" or "multiple close by".
- Trading on a no-deposit bonus without a real deposit.
- Churning — trading only to generate volume.
If part of your margin comes from a deposit bonus, the rebate is reduced in proportion. Scalping and Expert Advisors are fine as long as trades last longer than 3 minutes and are not churning — see XM scalping cashback.

Already have an XM account? Moving an existing account to a new partner code is, in almost every case, not possible — ask XM support. Details are in changing your XM partner code. Most CBT90 clients hold their account with XM Global; the XM entity you are assigned depends on your country, so if you are unsure whether a rebate applies to you, ask XM or contact us before you trade.
CashBackXM is an independent cashback service and an official XM partner (code CBT90). We are not XM and never hold your funds; XM credits the cashback directly to your own MyWallet. Trading CFDs on leverage carries a high risk of loss. Cashback lowers your cost per lot but does not change the risk of any trade.
