XM Cashback Calculator

Enter how much you trade and see what comes back. The rates below are the ones we actually pay per closed lot — Gold is $9 per lot on a Standard account, $3.70 on Ultra Low. Nothing to sign up for to use this page.

—
back per month
— per year · — per lot

Rates are per standard lot and are paid on every closed trade, winning or losing. Volume counts from 0.01 lots and there is no upper limit.

How the number is worked out

There is no trick to it: lots traded × the rate for that instrument. The yearly figure simply assumes you keep trading the same volume for twelve months, so treat it as a projection rather than a promise.

Two things move the result more than anything else:

Cashback is credited through XM's own system to your MyWallet, so it does not depend on us holding your money — we never have access to your funds or your trading account.

What the calculator does not know

It assumes every lot you trade is eligible. In practice a few things can reduce the total: volume opened on bonus margin may be excluded, and some brokers do not pay on positions closed within a very short window. Your account also has to be registered under our partner code CBT90 — usually at the moment the account is opened, because moving an existing account to a partner afterwards is a support request and is not always granted.

And the obvious one: a rebate lowers your cost per trade. It does not make a losing strategy profitable, and it is never a reason to trade more than you planned to.

CashBackXM is an independent cashback service and an official XM partner (code CBT90). We are not XM and never hold your funds; XM credits the cashback directly to your own MyWallet. Trading CFDs on leverage carries a high risk of loss. Cashback lowers your cost per lot but does not change the risk of any trade.

Questions about this calculator

Is the cashback paid even when I lose?

Yes. It is calculated on volume, not on profit, so a losing lot of Gold pays the same $9 on a Standard account as a winning one. That is the whole point of it — it lowers your cost floor regardless of outcome.

Why does Ultra Low pay so much less on Gold?

Because the partner commission XM pays on Ultra Low symbols is smaller. Gold on a Standard account carries $9 per lot; the same metal as GOLD# on Ultra Low carries $3.70. The trade-off is a tighter spread on Ultra Low, so the account that works out cheaper depends on what and how much you trade.

Does using a rebate widen my spread?

No. The pricing on an account registered under a partner is the same as on one opened directly. The only difference is where the partner commission ends up — with the partner, or partly back with you.

How often is it paid?

Cashback is credited through XM's own system into your MyWallet, so it arrives without you filing a claim. Volume counts from 0.01 lots and there is no upper cap on how much you can earn back.

Can I add the partner code to an account I already have?

Usually not. XM normally links an account to a partner when it is opened, and moving an existing account afterwards is a support request that is often refused. If you already have an XM account, ask XM support first rather than assuming it can be switched.
