XM Gold Cashback — $9 per Lot on XAUUSD, Credited the Next Day
Short answer: every lot of Gold (XAUUSD) you trade on an XM Standard account registered under official XM partner code CBT90 returns $9.00 to your XM MyWallet the day after the order closes — whether the trade made money or not. On the Ultra Low account (GOLD#) the rate is $3.70. It starts at 0.01 lot ($0.09), has no cap, and needs no opt-in. Gold is the highest-paying Forex-style instrument in the cashback table, which is why most CashBackXM traders trade it.
The Gold cashback rates
| Symbol | Account | Cashback / lot | Cashback / 0.01 lot |
|---|---|---|---|
| GOLD (XAUUSD) | Standard / Micro | $9.00 | $0.09 |
| XAUEUR | Standard / Micro | $9.00 | $0.09 |
| GOLD# | Ultra Low | $3.70 | $0.037 |
The rate is fixed per lot, not a percentage of your profit or of the spread on that particular day. That is what makes it predictable: 20 lots of Gold in a month is $180, every month.
Where the $9 comes from
Gold on a Standard account trades on a spread that is typically around $20 per lot. XM pays a partner commission out of that spread for accounts registered under a partner code. CashBackXM returns the bulk of that commission to you — $9 per lot — instead of keeping it. Your spread, execution and account conditions are the same as any XM client's; the only thing that changes is that part of the cost comes back to you.
Because it is funded by the partner commission and not by XM's promotions budget, Gold cashback does not have a promo window, a volume milestone or an end date. It is also independent of any XM bonus or Traders Club points you hold — see XM bonus vs cashback.
Worked examples
| Gold volume | Standard (GOLD) | Ultra Low (GOLD#) |
|---|---|---|
| 0.10 lot, one trade | $0.90 | $0.37 |
| 1 lot, one trade | $9.00 | $3.70 |
| 5 lots in a week | $45.00 | $18.50 |
| 20 lots in a month | $180.00 | $74.00 |
| 20 lots a month for a year | $2,160 | $888 |
A trade that opens and closes within the same day counts once, on the closed volume. A position that is scaled in and out counts each closed portion. Put your own numbers into the cashback calculator.
Standard or Ultra Low for Gold?
The cashback difference is $5.30 per lot in favour of Standard. On a 100-ounce Gold lot, one cent of spread is worth $1.00, so the Ultra Low spread on GOLD# would have to be more than 5.3 cents narrower than the Standard spread on GOLD, consistently, before Ultra Low comes out ahead. Compare XM's live spreads for the hours you trade — for most Gold traders, Standard plus $9 cashback is the cheaper combination. The full account comparison is in Standard vs Ultra Low cashback.
When and where the Gold cashback lands
- Calculated automatically when each Gold order closes.
- Credited to your XM MyWallet the following day, as balance.
- Usable immediately: transfer it to a trading account as margin, or withdraw it through any XM withdrawal method. Details in how cashback reaches your MyWallet.
- Visible in your own Members Area — you never have to trust a partner's statement.
What does not earn Gold cashback
Cashback is paid on the partner commission XM generates from your trading. XM's partner terms can exclude some trade types from generating commission — very short-duration trades are the usual example — and when XM pays no commission on a trade, there is no cashback on it. Trading on an account opened without partner code CBT90 earns nothing; if that is your situation, add an account under CBT90 in five minutes.
How to start earning cashback on Gold
- Open an XM trading account (or add one from your existing Members Area) and enter CBT90 in the Partner Code field. Step-by-step guide →
- Choose Standard for the $9 rate (or Ultra Low for tighter spreads at $3.70).
- Trade GOLD as you normally would. Check your MyWallet the next day.
CashBackXM is an independent cashback service and an official XM partner (code CBT90). We are not XM, we never hold your funds, and XM credits the cashback directly to your own MyWallet where you can see every payout. Trading Gold CFDs involves significant risk; cashback lowers your cost per trade but does not change the risk of the trade itself.

XM Gold cashback — questions traders ask
How much cashback does XM Gold pay per lot?
$9.00 per standard lot of GOLD (XAUUSD) or XAUEUR on a Standard or Micro account, and $3.70 per lot of GOLD# on an Ultra Low account, with partner code CBT90. That is $0.09 per 0.01 lot on Standard.
Do I get Gold cashback on losing trades?
Yes. Cashback is calculated on the closed volume of every eligible order, not on its result. A losing 1-lot Gold trade still returns $9.00 to your MyWallet the next day.
Is there a minimum or maximum for Gold cashback?
No minimum beyond XM's own 0.01-lot minimum trade size, and no cap. 0.01 lot earns $0.09; 100 lots earn $900.
When is the Gold cashback paid?
It is calculated when the order closes and credited to your XM MyWallet the following day. From there you can withdraw it or move it to a trading account.
Is XM Gold cashback the same as XM's Unlimited Cashback promotion?
No. XM's promotion is a time-limited campaign paid by XM under its own terms (the most recent round, 22 Sep–20 Oct 2026, paid by volume milestones at the end of the promotion and has ended). Partner cashback via CBT90 is a fixed $9 per lot on Gold, every day of the year. Whether a future XM promotion can be combined with partner cashback depends on that promotion's terms — check them or ask XM support.
